I'm Karl Eddy, an artist based on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. Most days you'll find me outside with paper, ink and a few brushes, sitting in the bush or on a headland, painting whatever's in front of me until the light moves.

About Karl Eddy Art
I'm Karl Eddy, an artist based on the Sapphire Coast of NSW. I've been making art for as long as I can remember, working across many different mediums over the years. These days I mainly paint landscapes in ink.
Most of the current work is made outdoors. I sit somewhere in nature with paper, ink and a few brushes, and paint what's in front of me. Most pieces are A4 and made in a single sitting. Travel is a big part of the practice too, and the portfolio includes paintings from a lot of places well beyond home.
Ink is my primary medium because of the freedom it gives me as a creator and the convenience of being able to travel light on plein air trips. Watercolour, pencil, pen and collage also turn up in the work, depending on what a particular painting calls for.
The portfolio on this site covers several decades of practice. Earlier works in different styles and mediums sit alongside the current landscapes, available for purchase or kept as a record of how the work has evolved.
