Beehive Falls had already given me one painting, but as I packed up I realised it wasn't done with me yet... I hiked up the path, left the trail near the top of the escarpment and traversed across to the falls themselves. The elevation was exhilarating, the view stretching out across the valley to the rocky forms of the range. After a dip I climbed higher, following the falls as they just kept going up... until I found a hidden room, concealed from sight behind a wall of boulders. In this intimate space the waterfall fell exclusively for the private audience of anyone with the daring to venture there. I sat down on a flat rock emerging from the pool in front of me and let the ink finish the story.
