After breakfast at the café at Lake Tyers I trudged up the long beach under towering cliffs, past fishermen pulling in Australian salmon, towards where my ute was parked at Red Bluff. As I approached I came across a small cosy overhang in the sandstone and realised I had found myself a cave studio. A group of tourists wandered past, flustered and bickering quietly amongst themselves about the best course of action as the rising tide sent waves washing across the beach, cutting off dry passage.
