Down one of the many tracks through the scrub at the back of Bournda Beach there is a tree like no other — the tree with fangs. A scar on the side of its trunk opens into a mouth full of long and unruly fangs, unsettling enough in daylight. But highlight it with a head torch on a dark nocturnal wander through the ghostly, otherworldly tea tree forest and it becomes something else entirely — especially for naive and unsuspecting friends who don't know what's coming.
