The first in a new series of driftwood sculpture panels. This piece began on a beach on the Sapphire Coast, where the driftwood arrived already shaped by the ocean into the form of a bird in flight — all I had to do was see it. Mounted on a composite panel utilising natural stone tiles and framed in a thin strip of rusted steel, the raw and the refined sit comfortably together.
