Bournda Island sits just off the beach, its ancient rock forms layered and fractured by millennia of wind and sea. At times it is barely an island at all — accessible by wading across a thin stretch of water, depth dependent on the tides and the sand movement. When you get onto the island it is like a joyful playground. Sometimes the greatest challenge is knowing what to leave out.
