On the road to Lillooet, a walking track winds up through conifer forest past Lower Joffre Lake before arriving at Middle Joffre Lake — the second of three in the Joffre chain, with its striking glacial blue-green waters. I pulled up a nice rock and began to paint the first of my Canadian series.
